Jn 6:66-67 - I impute that 5,000 men (not factoring their wives and children) based on Jn 6:22 and the multiplication of bread to feed 5,000 people abandoned Jesus because they could not accept Jesus' command to them to be cannibals. Gen 9:4 "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it." and Lev 17:14 "because the life of every creature is its blood. That is why I have said to the Israelites, "You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off." The crowd could cut off (put to death) Jesus because they literally understood Jesus asking them to cannibalistically eat His Body and drink His Blood.

RVS/A "66 After this many of his disciples drew back and no longer went about with him. 67 Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also wish to go away?""

KJV "66 From that time many of his disciples went back , and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve , Will ye also go away ?"

NIV "66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. 67 "You do not want to leave too, do you?" Transubstantiation as a concept does require more faith. My wife, a "cradle" Catholic, theology graduate of Ohio Dominican University, has never been troubled by the concept. I do not let my failure to comprehend stop me, as the concept does not suggest to me that I am a cannibal, but it does strongly suggest that Jesus did mean that He means to be in me, just as food, when ingested, is in me, a real and human concept. Paul doesn't seem to suggest that "right belief" of the Lord's Supper is intrinsic to salvation or discuss in any way I recall the concept of transubstantiation. Rather, he suggests that one ought to understand soberly what one is doing when one participates, else one participates to his own condemnation. That I do understand. Metaphor? Real? I don't think it should cause anyone to retreat from Catholicism. Rather one should pray, if doubting, "Help my unbelief!"

Bruce HyslopUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15997666438428950942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6422857.post-40992624772597762642011-02-17T21:16:17.532-05:002011-02-17T21:16:17.532-05:00David Waltz gets his posts deleted by TAO

Eventually any interactions cease and nothing is accomplished: it's like running into a brick wall.

I looked at your picture. It's a nice face, but to me it is too much of a European Jesus. My favorite is probably the painting that is based on the shroud of Turin, that I have on my Trinitarianism web page.Dave Armstronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07771661758539438173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6422857.post-34600092994442356952011-02-15T22:51:13.622-05:002011-02-15T22:51:13.622-05:00Really cool article, and I guess it's a realy ...Really cool article, and I guess it's a realy good article to be posted on some good protestant site.
I mean, don't you know any person, any way, to make this article be posted on some protestant site?
Because it seens a good text to protestants to read, but the problem is that I guess protestants don't visit here often, haha.
Well, just talking.

And changing the subject a little, I found cool to look at the picture of Jesus that you posted on the article. Of course it's that actor from that movie, but i am talking in the sense that it would be cool to admire a real photo of jesus, hahaha.
The best painting that I ever have seeing, the one that really give-me the impression that the artist was "inspired", is this one:
http://www.angela.amorepaz.nom.br/afacedosenhor.htm
(aff, it took me more than one hour to find this picture on google of the painting I have here in home. Ignore the site on the link, was the only one that I found that have this full paint)
So, knows some paint that looks better than this one?
Also I read that his face resembled that of his mother a lot, other thing that this artist (whoever he is, I din't discovered the name) seens to have made right)
So Dave, what you think?
