John Boehner Refers to His Catholic Faith in His First Speech as Speaker of the House

In his speech at the opening session for the 112th Congress, the new Speaker John Boehner (Ohio) spoke the following words:

In the Catholic faith, we enter into a season of service by having ashes marked on our foreheads. The ashes remind us that life in all its forms is fragile – our time on this Earth, fleeting. As the ashes are delivered, we hear those humbling words: "Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

Here is the full speech (12:42 in length), from You Tube:

Let's keep this good man in our prayers. He could really help make some history in the next two years, if not longer.
