TRACTS FOR THE TIMES (ANGLICAN: 1833-1841)

(Newman wrote numbers 1-3, 6-8, 10-11, 15, 19-21, 31, 33-34, 38, 41, 45, 47, 71, 73-76, 79, 82-83, 85, 88, and 90 -- 33% of the total; 30 out of 90. He partially wrote and/or edited many others. It is thought that Newman was assisted in his writing by Richard Hurrell Froude on nos. 1-3,6-8; by Sir William Palmer on nos. 10-11,15; and by Benjamin Harrison for Tracts numbering between 19 and 74. Subsequent Tracts were composed alone. The most notable authors of Tracts besides Newman were J. Keble [4,13,40,52,54,57,60,89], J.W. Bowden [5,29-30,56,58], R.H. Froude [9,59,63], H.E. Manning [78], and E.B. Pusey [18,66-69,77,81] )
